The Cots 4 Tots story
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit foundation that helps fund the Marine Corps' annual toy drive. It provides financial, advisory, administrative logistical and promotional assistance to local Toys for Tots Coordinators and a variety of other services that the Marine Corps cannot provide. It also distributes educational and informational materials to the public and assists national corporations to include information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, and also runs an annual program of public education and publicity.
The Cots 4 Tots story began in the year 2010 with a fundraising appeal to Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael's Hospital. Since its inception, the charity has raised tens and thousands of pounds to assist families who have sick or premature babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its work includes providing family accommodation houses as well as state-of-the art equipment for the NICU.
One of the primary focuses is the Cots For Tots House, a cost-free "home from home" for families who are staying in the hospital. It is located next to the NICU which allows parents to be close to their babies. The charity has helped more than 2,100 families stay in the house since 2012.
Families who stay at Cots For Tots House are reassured they aren't alone. They can share their experiences with other parents going through the exact same thing. They also have access to a wide range of facilities that will make their stay as comfortable as possible.
The charity also funds musicians who visit the NICU to ease stress and pain for both babies and parents. It has been demonstrated that this improves the quality of life both for patients and their family members. Music therapy can cut down on the amount of time needed to treat children, thereby saving hospitals money and time. The therapist utilizes specially-designed resonant devices that are tuned to certain frequencies and play soothing tunes for infants. Moreover, the resonant instruments also produce vibrations that can relax parents and fathers.

Abbey Silvester's children Alfie and Mollie were in St Michael's Hospital's neonatal intensive unit. She claims Cots for Tots was "an absolute blessing", and that her family and her would not have been able to get through the day without it. "You build friendships here, and you build an authentic community and you love for one another," she said. "Without it, who knows what our lives might have looked like."
The choice of the best crib for your baby is an important decision. There are a variety of sizes and styles to pick from, so it's crucial to think about what you'll require in the long run. A cot must be strong and have good railings. It must be easy to clean and has an easily removable bed. Some cots have a height-adjustable base, which is great if you have young children.
Moving can be stressful for everyone however for parents who are expecting it's more stressful. They must face a newborn and all the other challenges that accompany it. However, by putting in a few key preparations and hiring a vehicle transport company early, you can ensure that your move goes without a hitch.
